A command line space exploration MMO.
Congratulations operator, if you are reading this, you have been granted access to the TEXTFLIGHT remote access protocol! The universe is vast, and bountiful. It is also home to countless other operators, like yourself, many of which are hostile. At first things can seem overwhelming, but persevere and your fleet will grow.
With a practically infinite expanse of procedurally generated universe, your operator will have no shortage of territory to explore. Proceed with caution, however: the universe is a difficult place to navigate, and you may easily find yourself getting lost. Exploration is well worth the hard work though; locating ideal systems for mining will kickstart your production, and discovering an elusive habitable planet could make you a force to be reckoned with.
Target weapons and raise your shields; TEXTFLIGHT's unique combat mechanics make for interesting and stressful battles. With a variety of weapons to choose from and endless possibilities in ship configuration, strategy will play an important role in defending your faction's fleets.
Almost all gameplay can be performed while AFK, or even logged out. This means there's no need to grind for hours upon hours; simply set up your mining beams and get some popcorn. You'll need it, as constructing the largest ships will cost hundreds of hours of progression.

Accessibility is key, and there's certainly no shortage here. TEXTFLIGHT is completely accessible to the deaf or colourblind, and can be played by the visually impaired using screen readers. Translations to other languages are also supported.
All source code is free and available under the terms of GPL3. The community is able to directly contribute to the game via the Git repository, ensuring a constant supply of fresh content. Only open source tools are required to make contributions, so there's no need to clutter up your machine with proprietary bloat.
